Black Jesus è una comedy spassosa e un tantino dissacrante ideata da Aaron McGruder (The Boondocks) e Mike Clattenburg, e trasmessa da Adult Swim, il network che prende il posto di Cartoon Network nelle ora serali e notturne.

 
La serie segue le avventure di un moderno Gesù (Gerald “Slink” Johnson), nero e molto ghetto style, che vive nella cittadina californiana di Compton e ha la missione di diffondere amore e bontà nel suo quartiere, insieme a una gang di apostoli alquanto improbabili, composta, tra gli altri, dai suoi amici Boonie (Corey Holcomb), Tray (Andrew Bachelor), Fish (Andra Fuller), J (Antwon Tanner) e Maggie (Kali Hawk).
Ricca di situazioni surreali, battute esilaranti e tanta ironia, Black Jesus è decisamente una chicca da non perdere.
